Materials: paper, cardboard
Ren took a basic lighting assignment and turned it into an impactful social good project focusing on safety and learning in refugee camps. This hand-held light can be reconfigured into a flashlight, a table lamp, or an emergency siren by contracting and expanding the origami shade. This project was completed to a mid-fidelity model supplemented by renderings due to COVID-19 shop closures.
