Materials/Methods: Shou Sugi Ban Wood, knotted cotten rope, plants

Beginning with exploring different knotting techniques, Alexandra found that lashing techniques allowed for flat shipping and the ability to twist objects into different configurations.  Coupled with the traditional Shou Sugi Ban (Japanese wood burning), this planter harks back to nautical aesthetics while providing a natural material to plant mosses and lichen.
